If you need a doctor, telephone your usual main surgery, where you will be automatically diverted to Anglian Medical Care, who provide out of hours cover for our patients.

    OUT-OF-HOURS COVER

The Waveney Primary care Trust is responsible for out of hours cover in our area.  Your call will automatically be diverted to Anglian Medical Care.  A trained receptionist will take details of your problem and arrange for a local doctor or nurse practitioner to give telephone advice, to see you at one of the medical bases or arrange to visit you at home if appropriate.

The NHS Direct service help line is open 24 hours.  If you would like medical advice now, you could ring 0845 4647.  However, if you feel you would rather talk to a Dr, please refer to After Surgery Hours/out of Hours cover procedure above.

NHS On-Line provides health information for common health problems and questions.  There is a self help guide and medical encyclopaedia where you can access information for treating minor health problems at home.
